Milica Mikecin, assistant professor, external associate at the Department of History of the Catholic University of Croatia, where she teaches the subjects Croatian Literature in the European Context, History of the Croatian Literary Language, and Croatian Written Culture. She graduated in Croatian studies at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Zagreb and in librarianship at the Department of Information Sciences of the same Faculty. She obtained the academic degree of Doctor of Science in the interdisciplinary field of science, the scientific field of Croatology, at the Faculty of Croatian Studies of the University of Zagreb, defending her doctoral thesis entitled The Influence of the Greek Language on the Lexicon of the Oldest Phase of the Croatian Redaction of the Old Slavonic Language.

Her areas of scientific interest are the history of the Croatian language and literature, especially medieval literature and the Old Slavonic language of the Croatian redaction. She is the author of several scientific and professional works in the aforementioned fields. She participated in presentations at several domestic and international scientific and professional meetings.

Mario Bara, at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, he graduated from the double major program in Sociology and History in 2007. He obtained his doctorate in Social Sciences, field of Sociology, from the same University in 2014. From 2008 to 2015, he was employed at the Institute for Migration and Ethnic Studies in Zagreb. Since 2014, he has been working as an external collaborator, and since 2015, as an employee with the rank of Assistant Professor at the Department of Sociology at the Catholic University of Croatia in Zagreb. Today he is Associate professor at the Catholic University of Croatia. He was a collaborator on the project “The Impact of Migration on the Regional Development of Croatia” funded by the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports (2008-2013), as well as the project “Secondary Residence and Social Sustainability of Local Communities in Croatia” funded by the Croatian Science Foundation (2014-2017), and the project “Modernization of Urban Life in Croatia through the Prism of the Development of Communal Infrastructure in the 19th and 20th Centuries IP-2016-06-2015” (2017-2021) funded by the Croatian Science Foundation. He has published two books (one in the field of sociology and demography, and one in popular science), seventy professional and scientific papers, either independently or in co-authorship, and a number of encyclopedia articles. Karla Žagi is an research assistant at the Department of Sociology of the Catholic University of Croatia and a lecturer at the second module of the Integration-Educational Program. She received her doctorate in 2023 with the topic The Female Face of Modern Migration: Acculturation Strategies among Women Under the International Protection in Croatia. She teaches several courses at the undergraduate and graduate level of studies. She participated in several research projects, such as: Modernization stress, youth and migration of the Institute for Social Research in Zagreb, Otherness as a social and cultural determinant of the Croatian past of the Catholic University of Croatia and more. Her research interests are mainly in the field of Sociology of migration, with an emphasis on the integration mechanisms, research on the acculturation model and testing of integration programs for better integration of migrants in the various social spheres of the receiving country.

Lucija Mihaljević, Ph.D., is employed at the Department of Communication at the Catholic University of Croatia. She graduated in 2007 from the Faculty of Philosophy of the Society of Jesus, specializing in philosophy and religious culture. In 2013, she obtained her doctorate from the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Zagreb, specializing in ethnology and cultural anthropology. She worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Anthropology in Zagreb, taught at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Zagreb, served as an advisor to the dean and lecturer at the Zagreb School of Economics and Management, and worked as a secretary in the State Office for Croats Abroad. She has been the recipient of three scholarships (City of Zagreb, Adris Foundation, British Scholarship Trust) and has pursued further studies abroad at the universities of Southampton, Szeged, and Bolzano. As a member of the Commission, she participated in the initial accreditation process of several study programs. She has presented at multiple international scientific conferences, published papers in international journals, and edited two books. She has participated in several scientific and professional projects, including “Contemporary Transformation of Local Language Communities and Cultural Diversity” (196-1962766-2743), “Languages in a Network of European Excellence, EC FP6,” “Silver City University of Zagreb,” and “Women in Diplomacy, HDK.” Currently, she is a collaborator on the bilateral project “Isolated People and Communities in Slovenia and Croatia” (HRZZ – IP92022-02) from 2022 to 2025. Anna Komarytsia teaches the Croatian language in the Integration-educational program. She is an assistant at the Catholic University of Croatia in Zagreb. In 2018, she graduated in Croatian and Ukrainian studies at the Slavonic Philology Department at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv (Ukraine). She is currently a graduate student in the same department at her home university. Also, she worked there as an assistant for a year. She participated in numerous scientific conferences and seminars during her studies. In 2019, she won the prize in the competition for students and doctoral students for the best scientific article in Slavic studies. She participated in the 44th Seminar of the Zagreb Slavic School in 2015 and after in several Erasmus+ projects. She translated several times at the Days of Croatia in Lviv and Ternopil. She was a translator for literary events related to Ukraine in Zagreb.
